I've been using this product for years. I've tried brewing chai myself from various brands of chai blend tea leaves, as well as a number of liquid packs that you mix with hot water or milk, and while a few of them taste better than this IF you get everything exactly right (proportion of water, how long you steep it, how much and which sweetener, how much milk), many of them are not nearly as good--and they are all much more time and trouble. With this stuff, you just boil the water, mix in the powder, and add a little milk if you like (but it's great with just water). I take a little container of the powder along on trips and make it in hotel rooms by just heating up water in the coffee maker. Also serve it at home to dinner guests in lieu of coffee or tea, who are so impressed with my "homemade" chai. I've tried other brands of powdered chai and this--David Rio's Tiger Spice (David Rio has other flavors as well)--is the best. Amazon sells it at a better price than I've found elsewhere.

I only gave it 4 stars because, as noted, it is possible to get a better flavor chai if you brew it yourself, and because I'm a not thrilled about the health aspects of the ingredients (i.e., artificial creamer).

I love this chai! I recently tried it at a local coffee shop and fell in love! Being able to have it at home is wonderful (if a little dangerous).

This tea is exceptional! It tastes homemade without the bother of grinding the spices, etc. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves chai tea or to anyone who wants to try a tea they won't forget.
