David W. Schropfer

David W. Schropfer is a Partner and Head of Mobile Commerce with the internationally recognized strategy and development firm, The Luciano Group, where he leads its Mobile Commerce practice. Mr. Schropfer is a frequent keynote speaker on the topic of mobile commerce, and he regularly serves on expert panels on the subject.

Mr. Schropfer's interviews have been broadcast on NPR radio, CBC radio, Talk Radio One, and MSNBC. His commentaries and research have been featured in American Banker Magazine, Fast Company, Capacity Magazine, NFC Times, and Mobile Payments Today.

Mr. Schropfer is the author of multiple articles and publications on the subject of Mobile Commerce, including The Smartphone Wallet, Understanding the Disruption Ahead (TLG Press, 2010) and Google Wallet and the New Retail Ecosystem (Searching Finance, 2011).

Earlier in his career, Mr. Schropfer was Senior Vice President with IDT Telecom, CEO of a consumer cloud-computing company, Business Development Officer for Capital One, and an analyst with Federated Department Stores. He is one of the few professionals that has served as an executive in the three industries most affected by mobile commerce: Payments, Telecommunications, and Retail.

After graduating Boston College, Mr. Schropfer earned an Executive MBA from the University of Miami.
