Carol Moore did her homework and wrote a surprisingly balanced account of the Waco tragedy that makes you wish you had $ 1.00 for every lie the BATF and FBI told the public about the incident. Combine this book with those by Stuart Wright and Dick Reavis, and buy a copy of the Video; Waco: Rules of Engagement. You will be wondering exactly when the Articles in the Bill of Rights became conditional and applicable only when law enforcement decides they like you. If you think the Constitution preserves and protects your liberties - think again. If the eighty or so minority folk incinerated during "Operation Showtime" can be so easily dispatched without due process or without honest journalistic enquiry in the aftermath, so can you or your children if they have the misfortune of becoming temporarily curious about a particular minority religion or lifestyle. It is your duty to soberly consider the facts presented in these books and then join the debate that will either stimulate increased respect for the Bill of Rights, OR permit our national descent into the Barbarism that made Germany and Russia infamous earlier this century. Here is your chance to appreciate how far the TV News and giant newspaper chains have strayed from journalistic integrity.

Terrifying,

Read this book, or just about any other book dealing with the Waco murders, then ask yourself this question. Do you really think it is smart or safe to disarm the American people and give the government a monopoly on force? The 2nd amendment was created specifically to protect us from this kind of tyrany, and it has worked for over 200 years. Read this book, then tell me disarming the law abiding public is "an idea whose time has come." --words from the same Senator Biden who arrogantly abdicated his responsiblity during the Waco investigation.

Excellent for students studying government,
This review is from: Davidian Massacre: Disturbing Questions About Waco Which Must Be Answered (Paperback)
Authoratative account of the events of Waco. While television pulls on all emotions and provides little information, the power of books are the facts, and power of the book is what Moore uses to make those facts clear. All students should read this book as a case study of oppression. When we criticize Iraq for using CS gas or the use of British helicopters in Northern Ireland, or tanks in Tianamen Square, we should know our government used the same equipment in Waco, Texas against a Church of children. Powerful book which will make you mad at how your tax dollars are spent by Federal agencies such as the ATF and FBI. The use of helicopters was made possible by the war on drugs which Moore proves, causing an American, such as myself to wonder, has the war on drugs gone too far? And what about guns? Do we have the right to defend ourselves from an abusive and deadly government agent?

Truth is more shocking than fiction,

This review is from: Davidian Massacre: Disturbing Questions About Waco Which Must Be Answered (Paperback)
The government and the media portrayed a shocking
picture of crazed cultists ambushing government
agents, taunting them for weeks and then killing themselves and their children in a fiery inferno.
Ms. Moore must use a thousand footnotes to prove her case that the BATF raid was unnecessary, that BATF probably shot first, that they fired from helicopters and killed four Davidians, that the FBI harassed the Davidians to stay inside Mt. Carmel, that the FBI sabotaged Davidians' attempts to negotiate on April 19, that the Davidians were scared to come out otherwise, and that FBI tanks started the fire accidently and the trapped Davidians could not escape. It was a massacre!!!

The Davidian Massacre is a well thought-out, thoroughly documented piece of research for anyone who needs to flesh out their concerns that something wicked this way comes. We can choose to believe what is essentially the whitewash the government continues to feed us, or we can look at the facts as Moore lays them out. It's dry reading, but important background information for anyone continuing to advocate against what is wrong with the United States today.

Government Terrorism,

This review is from: Davidian Massacre: Disturbing Questions About Waco Which Must Be Answered (Paperback)
This book addresses many facts about the Waco attack by the U.S. government on its own citizens. With so many un-factual statements being made across the country-due to false stories put out by the government- this book helps to clear up a lot of the misconceptions people have made as a result of that false information.

In my opinion, whenever an author decides to write a book about an event or person, a factual account should be given, but also a compelling story needs to be told at the same time. This book was like reading an encyclopedia version of Waco. I don't mean to speak negatively of Miss Moore, because she has done great research and has offered her time and energy in search of the truth at Waco. But the layout of this book is very dry. Nevertheless, she does provide excellent research material for the reader.
The frustrating part about Waco is that so many lies have been told, the cover-up is well established, and all the evidence has been bulldozed. A tragedy played out by a totalitarian government in front of the American people. This is not to say David Koresh was a righteous man. He probably was not. Nevertheless, we are a nation of laws with God given inalienable rights. David Koresh was denied these rights. To those who are quick to judge, my response is; don't be so quick to criticize the government, because you may be the next victim of the accusation of "child abuse". One positive about this book. Miss Moore comments that she never had read the Bible. After this event she found herself reading the scriptures in search of the truth. The truth won't be found in David Koresh's opening of the seals, nor will it be found in the U.S. gov't. But it will be found in God's Word...and his name is Jesus.

The govenment sacrificed those to men they sent in at night, unannouced so those people would kill them and give the government a reason to KILL them all. They could have picked up their leader any time during his daily jog, but they didn't they wanted to kill them. Think about that.

Paedophilia Is Now Spelled D-A-V-I-D K-O-R-E-S-H!!!!?,

It is always most amusing for me to read yet another attempt at 'Revisionist Koresh History". In this book the author barely acknowledges the fact that David Koresh and his followers willingly murdered 4 ATF Peace Officers and as a consequence of their actions had to be bought to Justice. The author presents vague and obscure facts to reinforce her claim that the authorities were somehow responsible for the initial assault and fiery deaths of 86 people.I actually met many of the people who perished in the fire. Most of them were weak willed scared individuals who decided that they didn't want to think for themselves anymore and surrendered their will to David Koresh. It was all a case of 'David, please take my wife and 11 year old daughter, kindly plunder my Bank Account and I will do ANYTHING you say'. They all bought Koresh's line of 'Biblical Word Salad' and sadly in the end they paid for what they bought with their lives. I honestly believe that this book belongs in the ''Fictional Government Conspiracy' Section of any book store next to 'Who Shot JFK' and 'The Rosswell Incident.'

Aside from the death of the innocent children, we are all lucky to have these fanatical pedofiles erased from this planet. How can anyone seriously blame the goverment for the death of the children. The Davidians held the children hostage from day one, used them as shields, and finally murdered them all at the end. Those children could have been released any time during the stand-off from day 1, and especially could have let them go as soon as the government went in. They wanted everyone to die. Get the facts straight!
