5 Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies!, January 29, 2009
Callie O'Hara has grown up knowing the truth about her mother and her three fathers. Long ago her parents entered into an agreement with the conquering Alvians in order to be left alone on their farm, so is well adjusted to the comings and goings of the alien population. This time, however, the alien is different. Though Callie can't quite put her finger on what sets him apart, she readily acknowledges her attraction.
Davin is a throwback. All emotions have been bred out of the Alvian race but Davin is different. He experiences both feelings and emotions - a trait which is heavily frowned upon. Because of this, unless he finds his Resonance Mate, he is doomed to suffer madness. Though he contrives to keep his secret hidden from his superior officers, a spy gives him away, forcing him to flee. Arriving at O'Hara's farm, Davin asks for and is granted time to hide out. He comes into contact with Callie, the O'Hara's oldest daughter. With a nonchalant touch from the lovely Callie, Davin feels the simple caress throughout his body and knows that the unimagined has happened. He has found his mate.
Rick. St. John and his father have hidden out in the mountains since the hated Alvian invasion. In a twist of fate, Rick becomes ill and is too sick to escape capture. Forced to do the bidding of his sadistic and unfeeling captors, Rick plots and plans his escape - Until he comes face to face with the now married Callie O'Hara.
Davin and Rick, however, must come to an understanding. It seems that not only does Callie have one Resonance Mate, but in Rick St. John, she just might have another.
Bianca D'Arc has continued the story of the O'Hara family that she began with HARA'S LEGACY. In a time where women are scarce, some are called upon to be wife to more than one man. Callie has grown up with this type of lifestyle and thinks nothing of the fact that she loves two men. Davin, the alien who first captured her heart is so sweet and thoroughly in love with Callie. His goal is to make her life as happy as he can. If having Rick St. John as her second mate is what Callie needs, then Davin is ready to allow it. Rick, on the other hand, has more difficulty accepting the fact that he is in love with a married women, no matter that he has the blessing of her husband. He remembers his father's stories of earlier times and must put aside everything he has learned in order to be with the woman he loves.
Bianca D'Arc has woven a finely written and ultimately satisfying ménage with DAVIN'S QUEST. I laughed with the characters successes and shed tears at their sadness. Each journey the characters took brought them closer to love and most importantly, romance ruled the day. I can't wait for the next installment. Bianca D'Arc is my new `to watch for' author!

Liked the first one better, but this one is good, June 17, 2009
Bianca D'Arc continues with her Resonance Mates series bringing the readers forward 16 years. The O'Hara's daughter, Callie, is now full grown and she meets one of the Alvian aliens, Davin. Davin isn't like the other aliens who have taken over the planet Earth. He feels emotions that the other aliens do not and because of his differences he lives his life in danger from his own kind. Although he is basically an outcast, he is in a very high ranking position. Leaving his work base he travels to where the few humans still live in hopes of finding his true mate or risk going mad.
When he finds Callie, his Resonance Mate, she is too young for him, but just being able to communicate with her until she gets older is all he needs to keep his mind sane. Years go by and finally he has his chance to be with the mate he has fallen in love with.
In the mean time, human, Rick St. John, has been hiding out in the mountains with his father until the aliens come and hold him captive. He is sent to be experimented on with the rest of the humans that are captured. While being held in the underground prisons, he becomes a leader working for better treatment for the humans being held by the aliens.
When Rick meets Callie and Davin, Davin realizes that Rick is also Callie's Resonance mate. Can the three of them come to terms with what this means and at the same time stay one step ahead of the enemies who want to kill Davin?
This is a wonderfully originally written science fiction novel. I love Bianca's imagination and where it takes her in this love story. While this book has several well crafted erotic scenes, they're almost seem secondary to the story at large about the new world that is being created in the story. It is a good read with detailed characters and crafty story line.
