I used this on my 9.9hp mercury outboard motor for several years. It clamps on the existing twist throttle assembly and allows you to work the throttle, shift on some models, and steering of the outboard without having to sit right close to it. It's extremely lightweight (2-3 lbs if that) and the clamp works well. Its made of a virtually maintenance free aluminum alloy and requires no real maintenance at all. It is well worth the $50.00+ price tag.
