The Davis & Sanford Switchkit is a 4-piece, "7 in 1" kit maximizes use of point and shoot digital cameras or small camcorders. Carry and protect your tripod, camera and accessories with one bag. The camera/tripod bag can be switched to camera bag only by tucking tripod bag behind Velcro flap. The lightweight aluminum tripod (3-pound capacity) comes with a maximum shooting height of 50 inches when shooting with 3-way pan head or 56 inches when used with included SwitchGrip accessory. The Mini ball head tripod (2.5-pound capacity) for tabletop shooting is stored in SwitchGrip tripod handle. Patented SwitchGrip extends tripod height by 6 inches and allows the use of either a ball head or pan head for shooting. SwitchGrip can also be set for those hard angles that only a copy stand can reach.

The lightest weight tripod I found for point and shoot cameras. It is too light for SLR's. I saw the review that said that the tripod is very short. This person did not read the instructions. Without raising the "SWITCHGRIP" the tripod with the centerpost raised measures 50 inches. When the "SWITCHGRIP" is used the tripod measures 56 inches! This tripod has a lot of cool features. It gives you the option of shooting many postions that a standard tripod cannot becasue of the patented "SWITCHGRIP". There is even a mini tripod tucked away in the handle so you can shoot on tabletops,on rocks or almost anywhere! The convertable tripod camera bag is great for carrying my camera and my tripod taogether. I think this kit is the best bang for my buck.

The big tripod is VERY heavy duty. I was impressed. It's better than my more expensive one :-)

The small tripod functions great as a desk tripod and is also surprisingly sturdy. This stores in the swivel handel of the larger tripod; when I unpacked this set, I at first thought the mini-tripod was missing.

With the convienent bag, this is a VERY economical and practical set.

Highly reccommended.

Davis & Sanford Switchkit 7-in-1 Tripod Accessory Kit

I absolutely love this kit! I thought I was gonna get a rather flimsy tripod because of the price, but I needed something immediately and my budget was limited at the time. Boy, was I surprised. Everything one needs is included and fits nicely in this compact arrangement. The on-board level has always been correct and was an unexpected add-on. I carry this kit with me with briefcase and other bags, all in one trip. The only negative aspect is that the zipper on the carry case is lightweight so be careful when zipping over the unit as the zip will separate. Considering the value and utility of this kit, who cares?
