Davis's NCLEX-RNŽ Success

I used four different NCLEX-RN prep books. Davis's is THE BEST book to use. The practice questions in this book most closely mimic the REAL NCLEX questions. The best way to prep for the test is to just do practice questions - thousands of question. Davis's gives you that, plus excellent outlines/chapters on all the different subject areas for content review. Having rationales for both why answers are correct or incorrect is very useful. The best feature is the CD-ROM. It allows you to do thousands of practice questions and customize each practice test based upon categories and subcategories. So if you feel you need more practice with Renal related questions you can select just that category. You can also select question base upon type - for example if you want to practice analysis type question or comprehension type questions you can select those too. So basically you can ulta-customize tests a million different ways for your needs. Oh, and it gives excellent feedback based upon your scores in each category and overall. This is the book that I used the most and it is the reason why I passed the NCLEX-RN. This is the best book out there. Don't waste your time with learning strategy...just do tons and tons of practice questions. By doing this you will kill two birds with one stone - refresh upon content and subconsciously pick up on intuition and strategy.

I ordered this book for my second semester in nursing after struggling with med-surg. I have only glanced at it a little bit but I specifically ordered it because I love all of my other Davis books. I really love their style and layout.

So far this book has been great. I graduate from nursing school in December and have been using it to study for tests in my current classes. I love how it's really broken down in the table of contents, so it's easy to find exactly the subject you're studying in school & read about it. The CD that comes with it has additional questions too, so I would highly recommend this book!

Great review book, Lots of test questions for each subject (Med Surge, Ped, OB ...etc) However the CD that comes with it is compatible with Windows 2000/XP and I have Vista (...or is it the other way around?) either way, it won't work on my computer =(

The book is okay. It's a little difficult to navigate thru compared to the other NCLEX books that I have. It has a lot of helpful information in it that I am sure I will need in the future.

Information was there, but in outline format. Hard to read. Hard to follow. There are a lot better books out there. The Saunder's book was a TON better.
