Charlie Brooker is a genius of bitterness,

This review is from: Dawn of the Dumb (Paperback)
Anyone who's a fan of Charlie Brooker's show Screenwipe should be familiar with his visual style and how he talks to the camera. As it turns out, it's not dissimilar to his writing style. As in, it's absolutely brilliant. Brooker attacks about every facet of British and some American television from Celebrity Big Brother (featuring no celebrities) to the occasional house-destroying special on Eastenders. Brooker's rabid frothing is dotted with amazing and addicting humor. As someone who's a terrible reader (I read, maybe, a book or two a year) I read a few pages a night and have a hard time putting it down. As for the book itself, rather than being a story or autobiography, it's a collection of Brooker's articles written for The Guardian. Though,it should be known that Brooker uses a lot of hyperbole, so some of his words must be taken with a grain of salt, such as when he expresses an intense dislike for children. Just remember MST3K mantra, or a variant thereof, and you'll be good to go.

I love reading Charlie Brooker's column and I enjoyed this book too. I did not finish the book yet so I will not write a long review. But it is Charlie Brooker, you can't go wrong.
