The '47 Yankees Revisited,
This review is from: Dawn of a Dynasty: The Incredible and Improbable Story of the 1947 New York Yankees (Paperback)
I became a baseball and Yankee fan in 1947; went to my first game on July 25, 1947. Strauss did an excellent job of allowing me to revisit all the excitement of the pennant race through the World Series of that year. For those who read this book I would also recommend a much better written book, "A Legend in The Making," by Richard Toffel -- a book about the the great Yankee team of 1939.
