Most Helpful Customer Reviews

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful By P. A. Panozzo on February 7, 2006
Format: Hardcover
This is simply the best representation of the "dogfights" from World War One. It has an extremely high degree of realism that in no way detracts from the competitiveness inherent in a game. It very much immerses the player into the roles of pilot and observer and presents many of the aircraft and weaponry of that era. It is also a very easy game to learn and appeals to all ages regardless of gender. I highly recommend this game. I have been playing Dawn Patrol for over twenty years and own two copies of it as the first copy is showing a great deal of wear. Update: If you seek an alternative to Dawn Patrol The Wings of War series has achieved some degree of popularity. Wings of War WWI: Famous Aces and Wings of War WWI: Watch Your Back! In my opinion, Dawn Patrol is still the best game. My college friends and I really enjoyed the game (plenty of good memories!).
