If you don't know already that Dawn is the best dishwashing liquid, then learn now. This stuff works miracles. No other dish detergent can hold up to Dawn. I've tried them all from Gain to Joy. Dawn is the only one that still has suds and cleaning power after you've washed all the dishes. You can swish your dirty water a few times and still have suds left. with other you find your cleaning power gone after a few rounds of dishes and have to continually add more. Not with dawn!
And it's the only soap that my husbands company uses for washing their greasy hands & even tools. Yes, Dawn will clean most anything and do it right the first time. even get fleas off of Fido if left on for a few minutes. Just don't leave it on too long and be sure to wash off completely cause it has a tendency to dry out Fido's skin if left on too long. But is hasn't had any negative effects on hubby's skin since he's used it daily for even a bath & hair wash for over 20 years.
Warning! If used correctly to spot treat greasy clothes this works wonders for your laundry. Just don't directly add to your washer or dishwasher for that matter. You'll still be mopping up suds next Sunday if you do. A little goes a long way!

Last night at work, while outside in the bitter cold I accidently splattered dirty motor oil on my Bean's Gore-Tex rain coat. Immediately, I came inside to the bathroom, spread hand cleaner all over the stains and proceeded to rinse the area clean. I figured this process had a chance at removing any visual trace of the stain because the material was Gore-Tex. And sure enough, any trace of the oil was immediately gone. But I still had to wait to be sure because the jacket was darkened where the stain was from the outside surface becoming wet. I waited for it to dry.
A while later I looked at the jacket and was disheartened to see the blotches of stain from the splattered-on motor oil.
I still had a plan that might work: In the past I have used DAWN liquid detergent to remove some otherwise impossible stains. I would try it on this. I squirted plenty of DAWN onto the stained sleeve and swirled it around the entire stain area. Then I left the coat to hang for the night.............just as I have learned to do with any other stained clothing that I use DAWN on. The next day I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed the DAWN from the area. Then I had to let the coat completely dry because of the darkness of the surface wetness.
Once it dried I looked at the area and there is absolutely no visual evidence whatsoever of any motor oil stains on the jacket.
It is a fact in my life at least..........NOTHING COMPETES WITH DAWN'S STAIN REMOVING QUALITIES. A LOT OF PRODUCTS MAKE BIG CLAIMS ABOUT HOW GREAT THEY ARE AT REMOVING STAINS. DAWN JUST REMOVES THE WORST STAINS I CAN IMAGINE........PERIOD!
Here is my advice for when you accidently stain a garment with something that you beleive will be difficult to remove: As quickly as you can get to DAWN, liberally squirt the detergent onto the stained area, swirl the DAWN into the fabric and toss it into the dirty laundry to be washed or.............let is hang overnight and rinse it in the morning and let it dry. You will be amazed.
