ICON Trailer Music (founded in 2011) is a relative newcomer to the epic score genre. They quickly found a loyal fan base on YouTube (myself included). "Dawning Promises" is their first public release, and its a great album.

The album is perfectly balanced in terms of its orchestration - it utilizes percussion and vocals (two staples of this genre) in an effective way but without overdoing it. The result is a playlist that is intense (which is a requirement of epic score), but at the same time very emotional - something that is a bit more difficult to achieve.

In my opinion, ICON's "Dawning Promises" is right up their with the great albums from Audiomachine and Two Steps From Hell. I highly recommend this album, and I am already looking forward to their next release.

In a genre that tends to swing choir elements like a sledge-hammer Icon's Dawning Promises provides a varied ensemble both aesthetic and envoking.

Like JIMM mentions, this album rates up with Two Steps from Hell's Invicible for engaging themes.

My only critiscm leveraged against this album is the consistent shortness of each song. A handful of tracks scream for an extended playtime.

I came across ICON last year, 2012, and have been following them closely every since; in hopes of having the opportunity to purchase their music.

Music does wonders for the process of healing and inspiration. I LOVE Epic Music [music for TV, Film, and Gaming] because they are well told stories, journeys and adventures in the shortest amount of time. It leaves the listening craving for more...

Anyway, I could go on and on about the music in the industry; I just want to say that I am Happy that ICON finally released an album for the public....for their fans. The tracks on this album really give substance to the name of the album and perhaps more for what's to come.

My top favorite is 'Devising Dangerous Designs', followed by 'Clock Strikes Rebellion' [which has been a favorite; it was just knocked down to number 2 because of DDD]. I could comment on each track, but I won't waste more of your time. You should be purchasing the album.

THANK YOU ICON!!!
