About the Author

Michael Dennis is a writer, counselor and educator. He graduated from Berea College, KY in 1980 where he specialized in Psychology and Foreign Languages. His graduate and doctoral studies were in Education and French Literature at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN and The University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH. He has taught French, and Spanish and Language Arts at the elementary, secondary and college levels. His Psychology self-help articles, poetry, science fiction and fantasy stories have appeared in various magazines. Michael has written two more books: Morning Coffee With God and Wisdom From Beyond and many other poems in collections entitled WellSprings of Hope and Sorrow's Dance.

Michael has "walked the walk" when it comes to the highs and lows of love and romance - this collection of poems is solid evidence.
Dawn's Kiss is not always an easy read; a poem of absolute bliss in the arms of eternal love may fill you with envy (Michael's descriptions of the exhileration and empowerment of love are often compelling), but fear not, he will soon show through his words that he, too, doubted the reality of fulfillment found in the presence of another human being, and he mourned the loss of true love, and you will be comforted.
The poems herein take you to "celestial" (a word used often in his writings) heights, or give you pause as you stare into the empty eyes of a lady at the local pub.
Do not rush through this book. Keep it, read it slowly, digest the contents, savor it, poem by poem. You will be rewarded with a journey into the highs and lows of a staple of life that is so often spoken of, yet so rarely pictured with the understanding that these poems facilitate.

In matters of the heart, Michael's Dennis' Dawn's Kiss will fully acquaint you with the sting of the reality and the balm of love.

Every day I open Dawn's Kiss to a random page and have never failed to be touched by the depth of heartfelt emotion that comes through. Light hearted, intense, pained, all of the possible ways to experience soulful and romantic love are touched on in this volume of love poems. I would recommend it to everyone. It is a true gem.
