3.0 out of 5 stars The book was alright ........
The Beginning Of Everything Else was basically like watching the first episode of Dawson's Creek. I am a fan of the show, but I didn't really care for this book. After seeing the first episode, I don't feel like reading a not really good adaptation of it.

That tagline, "The end of Something Simple, and the Beginning of Everthing else" is the reason that I started watching Dawson's Creek. Dawson's Creek turned out to be one of the two best Television shows that i have had the pleasure to watch during its inital run.

I bought this book about two days after I heard the news that the series was offically cancelled. I had always been a fan and the thought of not having new episodes really bugged me, so i can here to amazon and book all the books that i already didn't have. All the books are of good quality and unlike the Buffy book series there are no stinkers.

This novel is basicaly just a novelization of the first couple episodes, but it is done very, very well. All the characters thoughts are said which gives you a better insight into them and there lives.

I would recomend this book to any fan if Dawson's Creek.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great to catch up if you missed the first two episodes., July 31, 1999

This book was good as it told you what the charectors were thinking, which you would not know by just watching the episodes. Although most of the thoughts were Joey's. It was easy to notice that the books major theme was kissing. The one strange thing is that you don't get a hint that Joey fancies Dawson. But it was great I recomend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book, if you didn't see the first two episodes, December 26, 1998

This book was great for me. I got hooked on the show shortly after it began and this book is really the first two episodes of the show. I found a lot of mysteries solved and enjoyed it a lot. You might want to try one of the original books if you saw the first two episodes and want to read about Dawson's Creek.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love It!, April 18, 1999

I s'ppose my view is a bit bias, since I adore the show, and even if it were bad I'd still love it. But, I have read lots of fan fiction in my time, and I have to admit, I've read better DC stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good, June 26, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Dawson's Creek: The Beginning of Everything Else (Mass Market Paperback)
For many of the die hard DC fans out there (and I know there are many) I utterly reccomend picking up this book. Sure, it's just basically the novelization of the first 2 1/2 epsiodes ("Emotions in Motion", "Dirty Dancing", and the beginning of "Prelude to a Kiss") but it's great to have just when you need a fix. In a few years the show will be so different that you won't be able to remember when it was just the four of them, or back when Dawson was completely clueless. (Remember when Brenda and Dylan were on 90210?) This book will help bring back the good ol' days.
