Very intense action, although weak writing and story line,

I was looking for a storyline to watch while working out on my treadmill. I finally hooked on to 24 and started with season 8. The best thing I can say about this show is that it is very intense. The action is fast paced and it is a real soap opera in that it always keeps you coming back for the next episode. The writing is a little weak and some of the lines on the show are so bad its almost a comedy. For one thing, I don't think it was ever meant to be watched back to back to back. When you watch several shows in a row, the idea that the main character can get shot, stabbed, beaten up, stabbed and still be alive seems very unbelievable. The production values are so so and you have to laugh to think a field agent can call up a president on the cell phone and talk to them. You really have to let reality slip away when you watch this show and just take the story with a gain of salt. That all said, it is a great show to watch if you are doing something like working out. It keeps your mind occupied which allows you to exercise without the thoughts of what your body is doing. There are slight breaks between segments and you can advance the show to the 2 minute mark when watching a new episode as it is a rerun of the first show. I watch this on Amazon prime so I am just a viewer. I don't think I would buy this, but it is fun to watch and probably would make a good spoof movie to poke fun at all the really dumb CIA type junk that they make up to aid the story line!

24 8th Season,

First hour of the 8th season of "24" (4:00 - 5:00 p.m.) puts you in the middle of the action defining the course of the next 23 hours which without a doubt take you on a "rollercoaster" of action and suspense, climax and thrills, and unexpected twists so that you can never second-guess the next second in the inter-locking flow of events. "24" only improves with every new season. There is no "Jack Bauer" without Kiefer Sutherland. Keep up with the un-paralleled, unique thrill of "24". It only drives you to see the next hour, the next after that, and the next until you quench your need for "24".
