5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely The Best, July 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 24 Season 8 (Amazon Instant Video)
This review is a review for the entire show and season 8. I do not wish to write a review for every episode so this will be the one for everything that I have watched.

About a month ago I fell upon the show 24. I started from season one and went to the end non stop. I rented a lot of DVD's and purchased a lot of episodes through amazon.com. I have to say that in my life I have watched a lot of shows and this show along side Dexter are my absolute favorite. Kiefer Sutherland is by far the best actor in a TV series that I have ever watched. Everyone said that after season 3 of 24 the show went downhill. I can see why they assumed that because of the dramatic drama in season 3. I continued to watch despite the other reviews but I can say with out a doubt that the show escalated from then on. This show strikes your imagination to wonder if stuff like this actually happens in real life. It makes you wonder are there people out there that will do what ever it takes to protect their country, to serve. Once you watch this show you can understand why I am so eager to talk about this. If you are reading this and you haven't seen the previous episodes I implore you to stop and watch the episodes from day 1. "I give you my word" that you will not be disappointed. Season's 1-7 are on Netflix instant queue so watch them there for free. Make sure you watch 24 Redemption because Season 7 you will be lost trust me.

Season 8 was an amazing and yet depressing season. Kiefer Sutherland put on a exploratory performance. It was made just that much better with the help from Freddie Prinze Jr. Every episode makes you just want more and you can't turn it off. I am glad that I waited to the end of the season to watch everything because if I hadn't I would be sitting at the edge of my seat waiting for the next weeks episode to start. I must say however that I wish this show would go on. But everything good thing must come to an end. The ending of this show just makes you want more. I hope the Kiefer Sutherland makes more shows/movies that as compelling as 24. I hope everyone enjoyed the show as much as I did. I honestly can say that I can not find anything bad to say about this show, or this episode. I hope you enjoyed reading this.

5.0 out of 5 stars 24, October 12, 2010
This review is from: 24 Season 8 (Amazon Instant Video)
I was never a tv-watching person; I always thought there were so many other exciting things to do that were so much worthwhile - but once I started watching "24" I became addicted. I never (and probably never will) got "into" a show like I did 24. I started watching it at season 6 and knew I'd have to rent the other seasons to bring me up to date - and that's just what I did - sitting on the edge of the couch night after night. I've never seen a show this compelling - this addicting. Keifer Sutherland has quickly became my all-time favorite actor, this is the greatest thing he has done. All episodes are worth way more than the reasonable price that Amazon charges to watch them. I bet you can't watch just one episode.........

4.0 out of 5 stars Realistic, All Too Realistic, February 26, 2011
This review is from: 24 Season 8 (Amazon Instant Video)
The Last Moderate Muslim is "President" of "the Islamic Republic," and his little gay brother is the Queen of Hearts, with nuclear weapons. Your girlfriend has a dark secret, darker than you ever imagined in your most sleepless night. Your ex-girlfriend has post-traumatic stress disorder, and she is very, very good with a knife. Your ex-boyfriend is out of jail, but don't worry, he won't out you, as long as you keep doing everything he says.

Hillary! is President and Secretary of State, all rolled into one. It takes a village to make a peace treaty! Barry Obama is Commander in Chief of CTU and CYA, but mostly CYA. Jack Bauer is getting old, like all the Baby Boomers. He has exactly one granddaughter, and he just wants to spend time with his family. Yet unlike the other Boomers, he still has core strength and electrifying footwork, and he doesn't mind getting blood on his hands. He's back to save you one, last time, before you start paying for his retirement. Everyone dies, but those on the wrong side of Jack Bauer are dying first and with fresh holes in them.
