I first discovered Harper when he opened a local blues show here in my hometown of Kalamazoo Michigan. I really enjoyed his and his band's performance and picked up this album after the show. Harper is originally from Australia and performs blues music in a rock vein. He sings and plays a mean harmonica, but what makes him truly unique is his incorporation of the didgeridoo into his music. His backing band is all very good, and add significantly to the arrangements. The songs are topical dealing with life on the road, social issues, and the occasional love song. This is just some really good stuff that does not sound like anyone else. If you like quality rock blues, with a twist of something different you might want to check Harper out.
