A great book for the beginning Day Gecko enthusiast.,

This review is from: Day Geckos (Paperback)
This is a great starter book for the beginning Day Gecko keeper. This book has many large full color glossy pictures that show the beauty and diversity of these brightly colored geckos. "Day Geckos" covers general information, housing, feeding, breeding, diseases, and species accounts. In many sections there is some over generalization of information, but for the beginning gecko keeper this may be helpful to get a basic overview. There are only 13 species accounts which cover only a small fraction of the over 66 species and subspecies of Phelsuma Day Geckos. Several of the accounts cover species that are extremely rare that most beginning Day Gecko keepers would never see or keep. Overall a great book for every gecko keeper's library.

Only so-so,

While this book is better than many of TFH's other Reptile and Amphibian care books it still isn't all that great. The information is farily limited some of the few species recieving "in-depth coverage" are not at all appropriate for beginers. There is nothing in here that isn't in the book by Sean McKowen and Phillipe Devilj-howeveryouspellit.
