A Treat, though a one-sided one,

David Hockney, who has a good eye for space and color, loves the Chinese skill with space. He shows us how to look at these scrolls. It's interesting for any age (above 8, I'd say). Poor Venetian Canaletto plays the role of the whipping boy; linear perspective is dismissed as so very limited. We must be careful of that sort of either/or pose in visual things. So now Hockney should make a Canaletto video.
