This Is Very Smooth Jazz!!!,

I bought this CD after hearing Greenstreet on the radio. It along with Morningside, Neptune, Riff In Fifths, and Calabay are my favorites. If parts of this CD sound a bit like Brian Culbertson it's because he helped produce several of the songs. Bob is a decent keyboard player and can really jazz it up when he wants to. He also gets help on this recording from Gerald Albright and Art Porter on sax. This is very smooth jazz!!! Thanks Bob!!

With a little help of established artists, Bob Mamet records a memorable CD. Highlights of the CD are "Looking Back" and "Greenstreet". Very memorable tunes that are worth buying.

Day Into Night,

I was never much of a jazz fan until I came upon Bob Mamet's Day Into Night. Great music! When I want to relax...I pop it in and the problems of the day seem to fade away.

This is an excellent album, no doubt. But a funny thing happened when I tried to load this CD on my computer. Nothing. My drive buzzed and clicked and...nothing. It wouldn't even play. So now I have the CD and a digital version. So buy the download. And you should if you like this kind of music (as I obviously do, so does a certain lady friend of mine). It is, among other things, surprisingly fresh in a genre that has suffered from attempts to stay relevant, and yes, this is not a new album but it is very well done. It is the eveness of the overall sound that works so well--no massive shifts in style. Good, solid piano based smooth jazz. Very listenable...over and over.
