This is a great book for daily inspiration -- and a tremendous value, because you're really getting two books. You get the complete text of James Allens' classic, "As A Man Thinketh," -- one of the greatest self-development books of all time -- and you get Vic Johnson's collection of essays providing insights and encouragement based on the James Allen book.
Each day, you only need to spend a few minutes reading the short essay for that day. These essays are simply presented but they contain profound truths that will alter the course of your life.
Whenever you have additional time, you can read the text of "As A Man Thinketh." Just a few minutes reading that book is sure to improve every area of your life.
Better yet, the profits from this book go to a worthwhile charity for young, widowed mothers and their children.
If you want to learn how to create positive results in your life, read this book and buy a bunch of copies to give as gifts.

I love this book! Vic has taken bite-sized pieces of the wonderful James Allen's classic, added a selection of gourmet spices, and the result is a menu of 31 meditative delights to feed and nourish the soul. A great aid to living slowly, musingly and on purpose. "Day by Day" travels everywhere with me.

I read several books on self development over last many years. I think this book is mother of all self development books. It deals with the most fundamental aspect of the self development viz mind conditioning. James has done a superb job of unfolding this scientific truth in front of us in such a thin book.

Daily I look forward to getting out of bed because the first thing I do is read the wisdom for the day and question how it applies to my life. It never gets old, there is something new and fresh every day. It is one of the treasured gifts I give.

When I first received this book, I read it cover to cover in one sitting. Then the next morning I started reading that day of the month's message. I have already given away 5 copies of this book. On the first day of each month, I read "As a Man Thinketh" which is included in the back of the book and then continue reading each day's message as soon as I get up in the morning. What a wonderful way to start my day!

I bought this book last year in response to an email about the profits going to support a charity for widowed mothers and their children. I'm back to buy another copy because a family member started to browse through my copy when traveling and I haven't seen it since. It does make a great gift (and its small size makes it easy to take with you if you travel).

The book provides 31 sections from James Allen's classic "As A Man Thinketh" accompanied by Vic Johnson's essays on each quote (as well as the full text of "As A Man Thinketh"). The essays are insightful and uplifting. Incorporating these short yet profound essays into my day has improved my life.

Buy a copy for yourself - or a couple copies because one easily might disappear!
