Book Description

June 2003
For well over fifty years, Billy Graham has preached the Gospel to millions of people around the world. Whether ministering to world leaders or African Bushmen, his mission is simple: To spread the word of God. And he has. Now, his pace may be slower, but Graham remains an integral part of his highly active ministry.

This book--which is based on events that took place over several days, spanning a period of many years--offers a unique up-close-and-personal view of Billy Graham’s life. It allows you to accompany the evangelist on two crusades; travel with him to Israel; and visit with him in his home, where he conducts business, but also finds time to relax with his wife and helpmate, Ruth Bell Graham.

A Day in the Life of Billy Graham transports you through time and over great distances to see the evangelist during his formative years, watch the growth of his ministry, and witness his personal relationships with people from all walks of life. At its core, this work consistently demonstrates Billy Graham’s unyielding belief that the power of God can transform people’s lives.

About the Author

Deborah Hart Strober and Gerald S. Strober are both professional writers. In the late 1970s, Deborah wrote the "Notes on Music" column for New York Jewish Week. But with a keen interest in politics and international affairs, she soon won general reporting assignments in New York, Lebanon, and Israel. Gerald Strober’s friendship with Billy Graham began in the late 1960s, when he served on the national staff of the American Jewish Committee as coordinator of the organization’s relations with the evangelical community. The Strobers are coauthors of Let Us Begin Anew: An Oral History of the Kennedy Presidency; Nixon: An Oral History of His Presidency; Reagan: The Man and His Presidency; and The Monarchy: An Oral Biography of Elizabeth II.
