So, for the puss who has everything, including a copy of Cats, comes this selection of 16 instantly recognizable classical melodies. The idea is a musical portrait of the daily routine of a pampered pet, the notes offering a brief, cute description to go with each piece. The connections are rather arbitrary--a Dvorák serenade for a catnap, a Shostakovich dance for a spider hunt, and various bits of Handel's Water Music and Vivaldi's Four Seasons for a spot of ornithology and an incident with a fur ball. You might find that your feline sleeps through the whole thing, the album providing more enjoyment for the owner who simply wants to relax with some undemanding classical moods after a day working like a dog. I bought this CD for my cats for Christmas. During the holidays one of my cats began losing her battle with heart disease. We basically hospiced her until she died peacefully. This CD seemed to really calm her and the rest of the cats (as well as me). Once I began playing it for her, she seemed more relaxed and comfortable. It helped us all out during a rough time. I play it still for my other cats who really do seem to listen. If you have a cat, you should give this a try. The music is all very beautiful and well performed.

I bought the CD for my cat as her birthday present. She shows appreciation and stays calm to listen every time when I play the music for her. Also, as a person who knows very little about classical music, I find the work very beautiful and easy-listening.

The music on this album is so beautiful! It takes you to a completely tranquil state. This really is music for you and your cat! My tabby falls asleep when I play this and he is usually very energetic. Definately a must have for classical music fans, cat owners, or people who have to deal with stress!
