1957 original is excellent,
By
This review is from: The Day Manolete Was Killed (Vinyl)
I have a 1957 recording by Barnaby Conrad as well as a newer copy on disc.
The older recording (a record) is without a doubt much better than Conrad's newer attempt. In fact, the newer disc recording was a disappointment. It is the voice of Conrad when he was younger that makes the difference. After listening to the newer disc I don't believe I'll ever want to play it again. Yet, the many, many times with the original has been very enjoyable. So, if you are a real fan of the history of bullfighting, secure the original record and have it copied.
