Very little information, March 3, 2005
This review is from: A Day at the Spa: Indian Head Massage (DVD)
This DVD is very padded with history that was not interesting. There were no listed benefits for the massage other then general ones for general massage. There was a small amount of nice info on aromatherapy, but only enough to fill three pages of a book.
There was almost no instruction other then following along & hearing the names of the strokes. The teacher was British with an obvious poor diet who was very clinical with her movements. I tried some movements that I'd never seen before on a friend, but I knew just looking at it it wouldn't feel right & he agreed it didn't.
I am a licensed massage therapist so I do know many strokes & why I didn't learn anything. She does demonstrate some nice strokes that I already knew for the head, shoulders & upper back that would be good for someone to learn who has no massage experience. She does teach about grounding to make sure the one giving doesn't get tired from giving a massage. She also teaches some nice self massage strokes.
All in all... this DVD is only good if you know very little about massaging the head, neck & shoulders & very basic energywork.

Not very helpful., February 26, 2006
This review is from: A Day at the Spa: Indian Head Massage (DVD)
Probable a good DVD for a non-therapist. Definitely NOT a training video. Very disappointing.

Absolutely Stunning, October 28, 2005
This review is from: A Day at the Spa: Indian Head Massage (DVD)
Even though it has some really brief history and recomendations on aromatherapy, the DVD mostly concentrates on the Indian Head Massage itself. First on the whole sequence, from the beginning to the end, then on each parts worked on (shoulders, neck and head) in details.
Highly recommended for massage therapists and anybody who like giving pleasure (and this massage is a BIG PLEASURE) to close ones. I enjoyed watching it and will be using it to upgrade my massage skills.
Let others realise how well they can feel after this simple yet extremely pleasant and effective massage.
