Gay families as part of the tapestry of society
Johnny Valentine is an excellent writer. This book is a collection of fairytales in which some of the characters are gay. What I loved most about this book is that the theme does focus on the issue of being gay or gay families. Some kids have two moms; some two dads. They are scattered throughout the stories. It also does not exclude straight or single-parent...

rainbow
The ease of shipment & receipt was the only plus factor in this purchase. I should have been wary with the lack of detail of the book review. I purchased this book for my four year old daughter and in her words: "its boring". Not a very exciting and child friendly book.

Johnny Valentine is an excellent writer. This book is a collection of fairytales in which some of the characters are gay. What I loved most about this book is that the theme does focus on the issue of being gay or gay families. Some kids have two moms; some two dads. They are scattered throughout the stories. It also does not exclude straight or single-parent families. Everyone should have it in their collection.

Great fables offering wise insights about life. Told in a way all children (and most adults)can understand. A book of modern Aesop's Fables. I found it very appropriate for both my 5 year old and my 10 year old. Lovely illustrations.
