In the Day of Thy Power by Arthur Wallis is a classic on revival - and not a classic which you own but never read!

I would rate this book at 4.5.

Some of the early chapters are hard to digest, so its not an introduction to revival, but some of the later chapters are very easy to understand and the bits on the fullness of time are very good.

These short-comings are addressed and have removed them and published a shortened version under another title. The abridged edition is a paperback and was publsihed in the late 60s or early 70s but the title eludes me.

All in all, this is a very good book and comes highly recommend.

Arthur Wallis has portrayed what attitudes we must have and how to pray for revival. Our church is on its way to revival. The pastor is on fire. The congregation is responsive. A cadre of prayer warriors is being developed and recruited through reading this book and others by Arthur Wallis. It is not legalistic. There are no formulas. We are totally dependent on God.
