Day Trading by Joe Ross,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Day Trading (Hardcover)
I dont usually write reviews but seeing this book only had 1 star I had to step in. I personally daytrade these methods in this book for decent profits in the s&p. Ive traded fibs trend lines momentum indicators the works and these strategies are my top pick. The best thing about them is your trading with the market not against it (like most other strategies) worrying about news is a thing of the past once you have mastered these techniques you I can guarantee sizable profits. Keep in mind not every time there is a set up its going to be a good one. These set ups are happening all the time so you have to filter out the good from the bad. I suggest taking paper trades with these strategies until you feel comfortable enough in the trade. You will know when you got it down because you will be winning. The trading range strategies alone is worth 10 points a month. Use 5 min chart correlated with bigger time frames 30min 60min 15min 20min in the S&p e-minis. Follow what he says in the book you will be a winner.1 star is a joke.

GREAT PIECE OF WORK,
By Moemoe514 (Birmingham, AL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Day Trading (Hardcover)
A great piece of work to anyone who wants to be a complete trader. Actually, I wish I could give it 6 stars. I've pretty much read most of Joe Ross's other books already such as Trading By The Book, Trading the Ross Hook, and Optures and Futions. I learned that they all give a solid foundation for any trader to be successful in today's commodities and equities market. Trading By the Books gives a solid foundation on Ross's Major Entry signals. Trading the Ross Hook expands on that and give a much in depth teaching on every angle in trading an establish trending market and money management. Optures and Futions gives a great angle on using options with futures thats not taught in other books. Optures and Futions is my favorite because he shows a whole lot more trader's tricks and good to know information that are priceless. But finally, Day Trading is a masterpiece. This book harps more on additional price bar movement that I haven't seen in his other works which include Lower Highs, Higher Lows, Matching Congestions, and a whole lot of other stuff I never heard of. Ross opens up a lot more in his teaching of trading price movement not only in intraday, but also on dailys, weeklies, and monthlys. I got to agree with Alexander on this one, this book is a must read and a classic.

not recommended,
This review is from: Day Trading (Hardcover)
A very subjective style of trading. I would not recommend it. I've read "Trading By The Book," "Trading The Ross Hook," and this book all by Joe Ross. He seems nice enough and his style of writing is nice, but I feel his methods are yesterdays style of market following. I personally found it not that good.
