This CD is a gem. Their eclectic blend of rock, rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel, and funk will knock your socks off. No two tracks are alike and show the wide ranging talent of this band. I would single out individual tracks, but all of them are excellent. Having listened to this album for 5 years, I still enjoy "jamming" to it and never tire of hearing this band get into a groove. Sonia Dada is the real deal. Check them out!

There is nothing quite like this album if you are in the mood to dance, sing, laugh, and cry. From jammin' lil'dance tunes like "planes and satellites" to more reflective tunes like "Screaming John" you can't go wrong with this album. How can you resist any band that has harmonies so tight, and grooves like "Lester's Methadone Clinic" .I say you can't resist,so don't! You'll love what you hear.

I can listen to these guys forever. Every tune is either happy and upbeat or smooth and pensive. They are all excellent. Some of Sonia Dada's stuff reminds me of Little Feat, but they have a greater range of sound and content --imagine a rock, gospel, R&B and folk melange. I want to hear them all over the radio. And no, I'm not sleeping with a band member. I just really love their music.

When I buy a CD, I am doing well if 3 of the songs are good. Every song on this CD is not only good, they are fantastic. This CD is a hidden treasure. I couldn't believe how good it is and how little air time it gets.

I bought this CD after hearing "Lester's Methadone Clinic" on a sampler CD and wondered what else they had to offer. Was I surprise when I put it on my player the first time. My player was smoking when it was finished. From the first song to the last, it is the best "new" music I have heard in years. Sonia Dada's main drawback is you can't label them to one style of music and thus no national radio play, because radio stations have to be able to label you to play it. Not a bad song on the entire CD It starts strong and finishes strong.

One of my favorite recordings in my collection. Need a fix of just about any kind of music? Get this one! If it is possible to wear out a CD, I would have done it on this one! AWESOME STUFF!!
Just bought "My Secret Life". Every bit as good as the last one! Different. Great! Bluesey Stuff. Another favorite!

It didn't know if Sonia Dada could top their 1st cd, but they top it, toppled and surpassed it! I saw them recently in concert - twice! One of the best concerts I've ever been to, too! (Love to you, Scotty!) A Day At The Beach is an awesome set of tunes! Enjoy!

It is almost impossible to know if others will like a tune when they hear it for the first time. Consequently, choosing music to give as a gift is often a waste of time and money to both parties. This is one of the CD's which I believe should be given anyway. Aside from a variety of styles making this CD a delight to listen to, the stories , though sometimes a bit dark, are intruiging as well.
Give one to a friend at be surprised at what they like about it...
