This review is from: Babylon 5 - Season 5 (Amazon Instant Video)
From journalist to comic book writer to novelist to TV writer to screenwriter, Neil Gaiman is a man who wears many hats! Along with adapting several of his novels into films, he was personally selected by J. Michael Stracynski to write this charming episode that covers material and characters that have been seen and talked about before and uses them to interact with six of the regulars in unexpected ways. It even has a voice cameo from one of the consultants of the series! SF fans will know who I mean when they see it.
While I won't say that this was the best episode aired, I will say that it was the most compelling non-violent story that I've seen on an SFTV action/adventure show that added to the rich tapestry that is "Babylon 5." Hopefully this and "The Doctor's Wife" won't be the only installments of TV shows not based on Neil's original works that I'll see now and in the future. |
