I bought this for my 80 year-old mom to help her keep track of what day it is. The clock works fine and is easy to use. I am giving this three stars because the manufacturer has their web site name/company logo printed in big letters across the bottom of the clock face. It fills up the space for Wednesday and Thursday and ruins the look of the clock. The picture on Amazon doesn't depict this. Why have a mahogany clock and then ruin the look? To ensure that you know what you are getting, go to the manufacturer web site to see a picture of the clock (dayclocks dot com).

7/08 Update - After using this for a few months I found that my mom wasn't using it as much as when she first got it. I found that it was a bit too subtle hanging on her wall. I got her a "Big Digital LED Calendar Clock" from Amazon for about $65 and put it on top of her TV. It is more effective because it is obnoxiously big, but that is what she needed to keep track of what day it is. It is really big (about 4 inches tall), but it also tells the month, date and time. In summary, if someone needs a gentle reminder of what day it is, the Day Clock should work, but if someone needs a very conspicuous reminder of day and date, then go with the Big Digital LED Calendar Clock.

This is a nice item except for the logo. I called the manufacturer (wwwdotdayclock etc) and found out that they will provide a clock face without the logo at no extra charge that you can install yourself in 5 minutes.

The clock works fine but it actually comes with a large multi-color company logo on the face instead of the picture you see. Also, it would look nicer if the words Wednesday & Thursday were right-side-up instead of upside-down.

I purchased the clock for my aging mother, who is experiencing difficulty in keeping track of the days. The picture that was posted on Amazon, at the time of my purchase, did not reflect the DayClock logo.

I contacted the vendor/merchant, which was a nightmare. They did offer a replacement of the clock face; however, my changing the face invalidates the warranty. Needless to say, it went downhill from that point when they stated there was no return of the product UNLESS it was defective. In turn, they stated that if I returned the product I would be responsible for shipping and a 15% restocking fee. Ultimately, the issue was settled ONLY when I contacted my credit card company.

The clock is a great idea, but not with a huge logo, which detracts from the purpose - seeing and identifying the days of the week.

This could have been a four star product, except for two problems. First: The image shown here is inaccurate -- the real clock has an ugly logo above Wednesday/Thursday. (In fairness, the logo is not all that ugly, but its placement and size spoil the overall look of the clock.) Although I can tolerate the logo in my office cubicle (its intended use), I would never ever hang this in my home. Second: There are seven days in the week, but eight sides to the clock. Because I am using this in the office, I am thinking of putting either Monday or Wednesday on top (depending if I am looking to emphasize the start or middle of the work week). However, because the frame is 8-sided, I would have to remove the frame and reattach it to get a balanced look. The ugly logo also contributes to the difficulty in placing a different day up top -- as the logo would be tilted or sideways.

I have bought this clock three times. Once for my mother who never knows what day it is, one for a couple who are retired, and one for a friend's father who lives in assisting live who is stuggling a bit with his memory overall. I do agree the logo is way to big on the front face of the clock. Also the frame of the clock is a litte more "reddish" in color than the picture presents.

Overall, it is a great gift for the people that do not work everyday and lose track of what day it is!!!!

I bought this for a friend that does a lot of RVing.... Very well made, really cool idea. Everyone loved it.

I got this for my parents (my mom, mostly) to help them remember what day of the week it is. After retiring, apparently the only clear signs of the day of week are the length of the newspaper and the shows on tv. My mom loves her clock (great quality and usage)! Also has been a fun conversation piece for them when they have company.

I never seen a clock that tells the DAY. For a person who tends to forget the days the trash is put out you can apply little sticker (like post ups) to mark those days. though some were petty to complain of the logo, I didn't find anything wrong with it.

I'm so glad that someone came up with this idea! Many mornings I wake up and completely forget what day it is. It is now hanging in the bedroom so it's the first thing I see. Highly recommend it!
