The zippered binder is sturdy, but there is hardly any space for coupons. It is more like a planner. The coupon file was plastic and broke during the first use. I guess I'll still be on the lookout for a better product.

I had so many coupons--everything from food item coupons to coupons from clothing stores to even gift cards--that were just piling up around the house. Most of the time I would forget the coupons and they would expire before I found them again. This organizer is awesome. It has pockets to file your coupons, a calendar where you can fill in the dates of when they expire or when you need to go shopping, and a things to do/shopping list pad. It's just the right size to fit in your purse too. I highly recommend it for the disorganized shopper!

The coupon holder tore apart the first time I opened it up. Very little room for coupons. The rest of the item appears well made if you don't need to store coupons.

I received it in a timely manner but it is from years ago so much so that the extended calender is out of date. Of course I will make use of it I paid good money for it but it is in no way what I expected and if my life were not so busy I would have returned it for a full refund but as you see it is many weeks after the purchase I even have a chance to respond. Very disappointed and will not buy from this seller ever again. I recommend that if you want to you email first to verify ALL the details of exactly what they are selling. I truly feel I wasted my money because even though I said I would make use of it, I truly have not used either to this point other than the coupon organizer as a single place of storage for the coupons.

I purchased my first one of these a couple of years ago, and immediately fell in love with it.

First off, if I can save anyone some time: If you are looking for something to keep different accounts straight, this organizer is not for you. It is also rather feminine looking. And, the cover feels awful to the touch. No, I'm not a snob, I like good vinyl for certain things but this just feels...icky.

If you keep your money in your wallet, and are OK with the fact that nothing really links together to make it a "shopping organizer", you may very well like this product.

As a shopping organizer, it's not the least bit innovative, interesting or even...handy.

I honestly can't see why they even call this a shopping organizer, since any organizing that might possibly exist will be done by you. There are no addresses linking to dates, and no dates linking to purchases, or even "special days" or gift lists, which is what I expected. OK, the cover had some slots for loyalty cards, but nowhere to put change, and no tabs to indicate where your coupons or separate moneys or certain lists might be, either. Maybe there were 2 pockets to hold coupons, and nothing that would really fit check registers or holders very well, either, so the first thing I did was remove the calendar/to do booklet, take the shopping list pad and toss the vinyl-ish cover.

But I'm very happy anyway, as the monthly calendar it comes with is next to impossible to find anywhere.

Mostly I think, because it's a Monday-Sunday calendar. And, it's spiral bound, very sturdy and very pretty. It also lays flat. Each day on the calendar is also lined so my entries are always neat and legible. I like to use highlighters and color code my entries, and each line has always seemed to fit the width of whatever highlighter I was using quite nicely. You do have to be careful, though, as you have to fill in the dates yourself, so there's no room for mistakes! I know it sounds easy, but..that's where it lost the last star ;)

Anyway, after the tabbed months, you get several lined pages of "Things to Do".

If you're organized with your lists, Avery makes some nice, sturdy tabs you'll need to add yourself, but you can then use them any way you choose. I've yet to find anyone else's "system" work for me, so I find the ability to customize just great. Each of my tabs are for different types of info. Each topic has a differnt number of pages. Not too exiting, but it works for me. No wasted paper and plenty of room to get all you need written down.

The last item in in the wallet thing is a top gummed pad of lined pages titled, "Shopping List". Wow.

It slides into the really cheesy vinyl-ish cover with but can (and has been) easily be removed.

I slapped a magnet on the back of that & put it on the fridge.

It turned out to be a shopping orgainizer really because I was interested in making it one. But it took some time. It's also an appointment book, a to do list keeper, and special days manager: I had to devise indicators for separate special purchase entries (I just made up my own "icons", don't care for the stickers you can buy). But I had the time, supplies, need & interest. That's where it lost another star. This took some work.

I also love the size because I find writing in a compact or pocket planner to be impossible, and I'm not about to schelp my Classic size planner with me to the store. It fits niceley in my purse, or in my big planner. Some systems give you a pad of shopping lists to insert into protective sleeves that snap into large planners, but I prefer to have all my shopping info in one amall place, instead of just one little list.

Overall, I think if you have the time and desire to put all this together yourself, or you just want the Monday-Sunday calendar, this is a great value. DayRunner Shopping and Coupon Organizer Wallet
