A pleasant surprise,
By Jennifer Perrier (Online Trading Academy) - See all my reviews
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
In my position, I get bombarded with requests to review day trading books, videos, and courses on a continual basis. With some skepticism I picked up DayTrading into the Millennium by Michael Turner - but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I can highly recommend this book, because in comparison to some of the more poorly written day trading texts I've come across, it is clear, concise and highly readable. It covers all of the issues that you need to know about and ponder deeply if you are to become a day trader. Some books cover only certain trading methods or one trading technique, while spouting drivel about how anyone can become a fabulous day trader if only they will pull up a chair to a Nasdaq Level II workstation. After an adequate introduction to the day trading field, DayTrading into the Millennium launches into a completely honest discussion of your chances of success and what you can do to maximize these chances. You have to work hard! You have to study! You have to know certain things cold! If not, you are simply gambling. Don't gamble - learn and succeed. If you are unfamiliar with stock market terminology, don't buy this book - yet. Get a good basic introductory book, and THEN buy this one. Once you have read this, you will know all that you need to know to determine if you want to pursue day trading. I recommend buying DayTrading into the Millennium and reading it today! -

The Only Review You Need to Read,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
I will begin by saying that just a few days ago, I was sitting here reading these book reviews just like you. This book is hyped everywhere so I decided to buy it. Unfortunately, I thought that if it sells for $60+, there must be some kind of demand for it. Well I received the book today and I already finished reading the whole thing! The book is EXTREMELY short (the print is large too) and each chapter is about 3 pages long. I don't want to bash this book, because it is a good overview for an absolute beginner. However, if you're already a fairly experienced daytrader looking to learn more, this book is not for you. The book isn't even really for daytraders.. it is just a basic overview of trading stocks in general. If you just opened up a trading account yesterday, you might find the book useful, but I'm returning it.

An excellent book for beginning and intermediate daytraders,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
I have actively traded for three full earnings seasons. The first was one not to remember, the second was one not to remember, and the last one helped me make up for the prior two. This book clarified for me what I was doing wrong and what I was doing right. It will definitely help me trade more wisely as I move forward. I shutter to think how much this book would have saved me if I had read it six months ago. Oh well. As they say, live and learn.

This book is one of those resources that will pay for itself,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
This is clearly one of the most useful books ever written on the subject. Experienced daytraders, novices, and those who are just thinking about daytrading will all benefit from this book. It covers everything from the history of daytrading, through the hardware & software needed, to practical strategies and examples. I particularly appreciate the no-nonsense, no-hype writing style and the balanced coverage. You're not just taught how to win, you're also taught how not to lose! This book is one of those resources that will pay for itself over and over by helping the investor make quality trades and avoid bad ones. Brett Monk - StockStop.com

okay but not much,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
The book is okay but it did not have much substance. The chapters were very short for this paperback book. No graphs or pictures. Try others by Freifertig and Nassar, but be warned these too did not have much substance. For 1/3 the cost it would be worth the two excellent short chapter on psychology of trading. For the full cost you can get both others.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
As a full-time, moderately successful on-line day trader, I'm always open to new strategies, ideas and insights. Any edge means money in my pocket. I found little of any value in this book, that is not readily available, more clearly explained, from a myriad of sources. Further, for what is being offered, the price of this book is, let us not mince words here, an outrage.

Excellent book for beginners and intermediates,
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
This is a five star must read for people who have been actively trading for less than a year. It is a real blueprint for learning the dos and don'ts of this profession. There are other excellent books on the subject, but this one is the easiest to understand and absorb.

This one is a must have for the beginning day trader,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
In my nearly decade of experience trading, I have come across many day trading books. There are many books written out there for the beginning day trader, this one is a must have. The author, Michael Turner, has written a concise plan for your journey into day trading. Written, as only an experienced trader could, its chapters lead you from the beginning to the end, of developing your trading strategy. Michael's style of writing is very thought provoking and his message is conveyed clearly. His strategies are time tested and work in today's marketplace. I especially enjoyed the level II lessons and psychology of trading. It is hard to put down, as you soak in the knowledge. "DayTrading into the Millennium" would have saved me a lot of anguish in my early years of trading. This book grabs you and won't let go

Excellent primer,

This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
Day trading is definitely not for everyone, and this book alone will not make you a successful day trader. But if you're the slightest bit interested, Michael Turner's DayTrading into the Millennium will satisfy your curiosity and may even help you launch a second career. Unlike most books of this genre, DayTrading into the Millennium by Michael Turner really is primer. The author provides an excellent overview of the dynamics that drive stock prices and the various kinds of electronic access, as well as the broad strategies employed by successful day traders. The author explains the rationale behind day trading and offer strategies that can help you become successful at this fast game of speculation and timing. The author explores the fast paced world of the daytrader through hands-on experience with simple and concise ways. The author offers practical advice regarding what goes into a sound daytrading strategy, analyzing different methodologies and offering tips on constructing action plans. This pragmatic approach will help prepare anyone for cyberspace-from the tyro to the daytrading master. I can highly recommend the book to everybody who is either a daytrader or an investor

This book definitely falls into the excellent category,
By A Customer
This review is from: DayTrading into the Millennium (Hardcover)
DTITM is a "must" read for anyone tempted to venture into the equity daytrading arena. Readers tend to classify books in reference to their own experiences. A good book is one that agrees with and reinforces our own thoughts. A better book is one that is revealing and teaches us something new. An excellent trading book is one that provides survival skills through a description of process and points the way to success. DTITM definitely falls into the excellent category. Each chapter could be taken as a subject for the reader to explore further and fill in the details for their particular modus operandi. Daytrading is definitely not an easy task nor a venture for everyone and the book points out the required indentureship to time and money. In today's marketing environment the data vendors and software companies sell the public on the notion that trading is easy and anyone can do it with their products. They promote independance and early retirement. Statistics prove otherwise. Whether you are already a daytrader or are thinking of becoming one, then Reading DayTrading into the Millennium has something for you. It might just deter you from daytrading or help you become more successful. Either way it will have served its purpose
