4.0 out of 5 stars The POWER to enhance YOUR LIFE in many facitis, February 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Daybreak: Meditations For Women Survivors Of Sexual Abuse (Paperback)
I strongly believe by personal experience that this book offers Survivors of Sexual Abuse the POWER to enhance their emotional, spritual, and physical well-being.

The book provides meditation topics on issues that many survivors may not have looked at before.

The book is straighforword and easy to understand. It doesn't contain a lot of fluff, so it's easier to continue reading it, which in turns helps your recovery process and enhacing your life through many facitis

The book serves as a tool that can be used in group or individual therapy.

The one drawback that I observed about the book, is that it refers to "Higher Power" numerous times which may be offensive to those who don't beleive in God or Jesus.

The book not only enhanced my life, but by enhancing my life,it enhanced my marriage too.

Because of the book, I went from seeing myself as a vicitm to a survivor.

5.0 out of 5 stars helps me know why, October 4, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Daybreak: Meditations For Women Survivors Of Sexual Abuse (Paperback)
These meditations are precious. Though I've been in therapy for many years, read many books, I STILL wonder why I feel afraid, why I can't get mobilized, why I isolate, why groups frighten me, and so forth. My "why's" are being answered in a way that touches my very soul. It is extremely helpful. Highly recommended, very comforting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Daily Reminders in Recovery, August 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Daybreak: Meditations For Women Survivors Of Sexual Abuse (Paperback)
I highly recommend this book to all women survivors of sexual abuse. I am an atheist and have trouble finding non-God related meditations. This book has some references to God, but focuses on your thoughts and feelings. Each page seems like I wrote it myself.
