Product Description

Product Description

What do you get when you attach a plastic stunt plane and a ribbon with a little piece of elastic? You get a SkyTrix! A simple, but incredibly fun crossbreed of stunt glider, kite, boomerang, frisbee, and yoyo.

From the Manufacturer

SkyTrix, a radically new design in flying toys. SkyTrix can climb high into the sky, dive, loop, boomerang or become the ultimate long-range glider. It's all up to you. SkyTrix glides like a plane, soars like a kite, performs tricks like a yo-yo and plays catch like a flying disc. The concept is simple - a plane on a tether. But the design and performance are anything but ordinary. In fact, SkyTrix is so responsive that people who see it are amazed to learn that there are no batteries or gyroscopes keeping it in flight and balanced. It is simply people-powered. SkyTrix gets kids and adults outside and playing. Great for a long-distance game of catch between multiple people or a game of boomerang when on your own. As you get the feel of the tether, you can start showing your skill by doing tricks such as casting, snap backs and loops. Available in an assortment of wing designs. Ages 8+.

Soon people were staring at me!

After only 9 flights (3 by me) in a park, the left cellophane-like wing tore apart upon impact.

I bought three of these flyers, two for neighbor families, and one for our own use. Having a park with lots of open fields proved to be the perfect spot for lots of family fun. One great thing about Sky Trix is that it allows the older and younger children in a family to enjoy playing together. This toy has provided lots of neighborhood fun (adults included) and imagine this ... no keyboard of joy sticks needed. Up and at'em!

I've never written a review for a product before on Amazon. But let me tell you (the skeptical buyer), this is a great, one of a kind toy. I was the first on my block to fly one. Now I need a few more for my nieces and nephews.

Whether or not you are young, or a young at heart, this is one of those toys that I can play with for hours. Like flying a kite. But FUNNER!!

Got this for my kids (3,5) - the throwing was a little too complicated for them, but the fetching ended up being just as fun. Plus, that way I got to do all the throwing, which was surprisingly gratifying. Pretty soon all the aunts and uncles were in on it too. Great toy.

This is a really fun new toy. Our grandsons have had a ball playing with it on the beach. You can enjoy it all by yourself or play "toss" it to your friend.

This is some video my friend shot of us having a back and forth with a Skytrix. Its fun to set the flaps low to glide straight and aim your passes - along with the loops and curves when you angle the flaps up you can really get into it

My two sons love playing with their new Skytrix. Right out of the box, they intuitively knew what to do and how to have fun with it. My younger son (age 7) likes making up 'routines' with his and practicing it, usually ending with a toss across the yard. My old son (age 9) likes to see how high his can go. Best of all, I like it because it gets them outside, playing together, and moving around. Great toy. Also, a nice price point to give as a gift next time we're invited to a birthday party and don't want to give yet another Legos kit.

When I first saw Skytrix I couldn't keep myself from staring. It was really incredible to see the way it moved though the air and glided around the user. I, being extremely uncoordinated, assumed there was no way I'd have the finesse to use such a toy (not if I wanted to look cool doing it anyway). How wrong I was! It was simple to pick up techniques and look like an instant pro after only a few moments handling it. Soon people were staring at me! Skytrix is a great toy for solo or group play, I highly recommend it.

The first opportunity I had to play with Skytrix was indoors, I was immediately drawn to the yo-yo like aspects of the toy in close range, and how easy it was to generate a lot of energy on the tether. After a few minutes of getting used to the physics of it I took it down to the park to see what it can do. WOW! I was amazed at how high/far Skytrix is able to go. I found it quite easy to send it past home-run distances at the baseball diamond. Within 30 seconds every kid in the park wanted to try it. I relinquished it to the neighborhood children and they all went crazy fighting over who got to try it next. The front end of the plane is encased in heavy duty plastic and takes crashes from 100' like a champ. If you liked making paper airplanes as a kid, this is the ultimate one. LOVE THIS TOY!
