Minneapolis chanteuse sings Doris Day's story in song..., February 4, 2007
This review is from: Daydreaming: A Tribute to Doris Day (Audio CD)
It's great to think that Doris's legacy of song continues to inspire generation after generation. On this occasion the very talented chanteuse from Minneapolis (USA) has recorded "Daydreaming" containing her jazz/vocal renditions of some of the songs she loves most by Doris.
Since releasing this CD in 2004 Connie has crafted a live act and tribute which she regularly performs. She describes it as a "Story in Songs..." where she sings and tells stories that she read or saw concerning Doris's life.
Connie's voice has a wonderful, velvety quality to it and with the simple, uncluttered arrangements she gives some nice performances on her CD. The correct track listing is show belolw.

Dreamy, June 4, 2006
This review is from: Daydreaming: A Tribute to Doris Day (Audio CD)
I was fortunate enough to have Connie Olson IN STUDIO with me at WCCO Radio one Sunday night not long ago.
We played many cuts from the album. Not really all that UP on Doris Day's musical career, many of the songs were completely NEW to me!
"Control Yourself" being my favorite.
Right after that interview, I had the opportunity to see Connie perform LIVE. She is a true talent. And this is an album you will enjoy again and again and again.
How many albums can you say that about?
I can't wait until her next one! She has promised a Beatles cover she does that I love. "I'm Happy just to Dance with You".
I heard an advance demo. And had to take a cold shower afterwards! Yummy.

I've had it for years, great album. Soothing and mellow, jammy and jazzy.
