Remedy Drive, the new alternative rock band from Lincoln, Nebraska caught my ear right away with the Brit-Rock hook of the debut single Daylight. The 4 Zach brothers have a sound that reminds me of Blue October, Jackson Waters, Grey Holiday and NEEDTOBREATHE (all favorites of mine). Dove Award winning producer Ian Eskelin of the band All Star United has produced a very accessible new alternative rock album similar to his own band's excellent debut from 1997 .

Daylight Is Coming kicks off with the solid anthem Stand Up, with the piano-driven rock-style that Coldplay has made famous. All Along is another standout track along with Hope and the excellent closing song Valuable. This is an album that you can enjoy over and over again. If you enjoy good rock hooks and solid lyrics, then you'll enjoy Remedy Drive.

My daughters and I LOVE this band and their music! My daughter's friend adores them so much she's trying to raise enough money to have them play locally. We saw them play live and bought the Cd immediately at the venue. we ALL love it--and i'm "older" than they are (teens). a sure bet for a great birthday or Christmas gift for any teen, tween, young adult, or anyone who loves fantastic music! Rock on! :D

Get it. This is an awesome album, I got won this cd from a site, and this is one of my top albums right now. I've been playing it over and over, there's not one song on it that I don't like. Totally worth the money. Amazing band, amazing album, amazing buy.

I found out about Remedy Drive when I saw them on the list of artists performing for this upcoming years Acquire The Fire (ATF) youth convention. I had never heard of them, so I visited their myspace page and liked the little bit I had listened too. So, for $6.99 I figured it would be a great by on Amazon.

Their music has an almost Audio Adrenaline and Tait inspired sound in my opinion. And I'm sure you could come up with some other sounds as well.

I would highly recommend this CD to all listeners of Christian music, even casual listeners. It has great lyrics/messages within the music without saturating you in the typical messages found in a lot of present Christian albums (everything and everyone has been sounding the same for the past 5 years). Due to everyone sounding the same, and everyone putting out worship albums, I had lost interest in Christian music, but this album has brought me back. Take a chance, give it a try, it'll be the best $7 CD you've bought, and worth much more!

Hope can be a hard thing to grasp sometimes. As life's storms strike, it's easy to be consumed with worry and anxiety, forgetting that God is in control. But we need to remember that, even in the darkest night, "Daylight is coming to break the dawn." This is the message that the four Zach brothers, David, Paul, Philip, and Daniel, who together have formed the rock band Remedy Drive, wish to communicate with their first album released through Word Records after almost ten years of being an independent band, entitled Daylight Is Coming. David, the lead singer, said about the album, "In Lord of the Rings, Gandalf said, `At dawn, look to the East', and that's the message we're offering here: even in the most desperate times, each new day provides a glimmer of hope." Both musically and lyrically, the Zach brothers succeed in communicating that hope through each song on this record, and that is what makes Daylight Is Coming such a fantastic collection of songs.

One of the standout qualities of Daylight Is Coming is definitely just how fun it is to listen to. All but a few of the songs are upbeat and energetic, highlighted by sweet instrumental work and fantastic vocal performances. The opening bass riff on "Something Made To Last" is simply awesome, while the racing guitars on "Stand Up" make the song energetic and entertaining. Moreover, "Hope" makes effective use of some heavier guitars and "What Happens (At the End)" showcases some fantastic vocal work backed by solid instrumental performances. Daylight Is Coming is a lot of fun to listen to, and this fun factor gives the record a certain entertaining quality that has kept me coming back to it time and time again.

The other notable characteristic of these songs is how the music simply oozes with hope. The sound is upbeat and in most cases it just soars, which makes the songs not only hopeful in the lyrics but also makes them feel hopeful with the music. "Daylight," "Hope," and "Stand Up" are the most clearly hopeful in their music, but most of the other songs powerfully display this fine quality as well.

The lyrics go hand in hand with the music on this record to inspire hope in many different aspects. "Stand Up" is about overcoming obstacles and having confidence that God will pick us back up when we fall, "Belong With You" reflects the overwhelming joy of simply being a child of God, and "Daylight" reflects Psalm 30:5 which encourages, "Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning." Furthermore, "What Happens (At the End)" is a call out to God from a place where the singer is at the end of himself, "Heartbeat" has hope that God is the true giver of life, "Something Made To Last" asks God to give us eternal things as we turn our affections away from the worldly things that are "turning into dust," and "Get To Know You," is about knowing God on a deeper level than just knowing about Him. Overall the lyrics communicate hope from many different angles, making the album well-rounded and powerfully encouraging in its theme.

Daylight Is Coming is a record no one should miss. As with all music, it can't fit everyone's tastes, but whether you like rock music or not, the diversity of the songs' styles and the way it so clearly communicates hope both in music and lyrics makes it worth looking into. It's also a notable step up from the band's last independent album, Rip Open the Skies, due to stronger songwriting and a cleaner, more emotionally charged sound. Daylight Is Coming is, more or less, hope's soundtrack, and for that reason I highly recommend that you give it a listen.

Remedy Drive has a rock style that features long songs (which is good) that make good use of electronics. I find nothing objectionable in their album, and almost all of their songs are uplifting and motivating. This product is made even better by the 3 special songs that are included in the expanded edition. I found mine expanded copy for less money than an MP3 download of the normal version! Even with shipping!

I just love their music! My husband and I saw them in concert last month, and they were awesome! They were entertaining and great! I love this CD, and it is family friendly, I love that my husband and I, and our two kids can rock out together!

Wow! I first heard the song "All Along" on 89.1, one of 2 Christian radio stations here in Knoxville, Tennessee, and loved it, so i bought the mp3 album off here and I loved it. The sound is catchy but fun to rock out to at the same time. I would definitely recommend these guys if you like alternative rock.

I love this band and their new cd (daylight is coming) is even more amazing than the ones before. It's a must buy.

Usually I don't like each song on a CD. This was a pleasant exception.
