I really enjoyed this movie, it was really soothing. I loved the part at the Grand Canyon, but don't understand when the Christmas Dinner party happened. I loved the music. Does anyone know what songs played in this movie?

This movie starts out feeling like it will be something special. The timeline is turned upside down, there's quirky little subtitles on black screens that hint at something unusual (just after a scene of a man and woman in bed, Tokyo, not today). But then the film just spins into tease after tease and nonsensical timeline bending.

Wes and Alison are 'friends.' Wes shows up at Alison's house and the two talk, and talk, and talk, and talk. And talk about nothing of consequence. There are flash backs and flash forwards. The two talk about nonsense, nothing that really matters. Nothing fun. Nothing interesting. They appear to be friends. But then they appear to be lovers. Then he appears gay. Then she appears to be gay. There seems to be some coupling here and there, like the opening scene. But nothing ever happens. The two go on a road trip. They talk. They happen to fall asleep in the same bed. She calls him Metro, he doesn't understand. The story flashes back to Montreal where they first met. And the film ends at a beach house. It's all very boring.

Sadly neither character is very appealing after spending so much time listening to them talk. At one point I felt like saying, will you two just go to bed and get the deed done with? But oh no, first time director, Francois Dompierre never lets that happen. Honestly, that would have been at least interesting, instead of the constant babbling these two do.

Not exactly a compelling film. Dompierre has a long list of credits as a sound man, and the dialog is clearly recorded. The filming is relatively clear. Sadly this thing is just about one hour too long at one hour forty minutes.

Avoid this one, unless you absolutely have to watch everything that Alexandra Holden or Joey Kern have done.

...then this is the movie for you. It helps you appreciate the people in your life that change you while still accepting who you are.

The personality of the female lead character was so self centered, shallow, and annoying, it was impossible to continue watching. I turned it off after about 40 minutes.
