Cleaning and organizing your house ranks near the bottom on most people's list of activities that they enjoy. When people think of cleaning they often imagine long days of labor, sweat, and sometimes tears. The problem is that most people will wait until their living situation is so messy it become unbearable. We find that most people will hide their junk, garbage, and clutter in their closets, dressers, and drawers. They will only take action once these areas are full and they have no where else to put their clutter. This can lead to long weekends of deep cleaning and organizing. This problem is only further compounding if you are trying to keep a clean house and you have a large family. This book will change the way you view cleaning!.

This book will cover:
  • How to break down the cleaning process into manageable chunks
  • Why most people fail to keep a clean home
  • The step-by-step process to clean your home in 31 days
  • How to keep your home clean after you have completed the course
  • Over 50 tips and tricks you can use to keep your home spotless
  • much, much, more!
What if we told you that by just changing your daily cleaning habits you can keep your home clean and organized once and for all. By just spending twenty to thirty minutes each day on one task you can obtain the clean house you always dreamed of. Our lives are shaped by our daily habits and this applies to cleaning as well. This book will break down the usually tough cleaning job into small bite sized chunks. Each day you will be presented with a new cleaning objective, a secondary objective, and step by step instructions on how to accomplish your cleaning goal. After thirty-one days you will have cleaned your entire house! Once you have completed a month you can start over and go right though the list again. This will help you develop strong cleaning habits and it will allow you to avoid those large cleaning jobs. So download now and learn how to clean and keep your home clean in 31 days.

The only reason that I gave this author two stars is that they did a good job in detailing excuses and how to overcome them. They also give good motivation and a plan that you can adapt to your own style. As far as the actual cleaning instructions ignore them, they are mostly wrong.

Day 10 for the tip of the day the author suggests putting yeast down the toilets. Yeast is very expensive and it won't work. There are 4 different enzymes needed to keep your septic system working. They are contained in Rid-X septic saver. They are amylase, lipase, cellulase and protease. Amylase digests starches that we eat, lipase eats fats that we consume, cellulase breaks down the toilet paper flushed and protease digests the protein from our feces. This is the problem with all these green cleaning solutions, they don't know what they are talking about and give bad advice that is more expensive than using the actual chemicals that will help.

Day 12 tip of the day the author suggests using cornmeal to pick up spilled grease in our garages. This too is expensive, more so than the kitty litter that most guys know to use that does a better job than cornmeal.

Day 13 the author suggests that for your organizing your refrigerator, butter does not have to be that cold so you can keep it in the door. This is true to a point. Butter does not have to be refrigerated, IT DOES NOT SPOIL and I always leave it on the counter so that it is soft when I want to put it on a warm piece of toast.

Day 14 the author suggests using olive oil to clean stainless utensils.
This is expensive and it is not a good cleaner, it might better be used as a polish but stainless does not need polish. A more appropriate and far cheaper cleaner is a 4-1 dilution of ammonia and water.

I used to think it was impossible to keep a clean house all the time, but now I know that I was approaching it all wrong. Although I'll never enjoy cleaning, the day-by-day tasks in this book have made cleaning manageable. Can't wait to see what my house will look like after a whole month!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book helped me so much September 6, 2013

My house was always a mess. I just could not get organized and felt intimidated by it and didn't know where to start on getting it in shape. This book broke it down into sections and gave me tasks to do every day and so I was able to follow this and my house has become clean and organized. I just read the instructions for each day and followed the plan that they layed out and it worked.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unrealistic August 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The basic idea of the plan is appealing. Spend no more than 45 minutes per day in one area of your home and in a month it will be all clean. Unfortunately, they lost me on the kitchen day. There is no way I could do everything listed in just 45 minutes. They suggest you take everything out of the cabinets to clean the shelves then put it all back. I have 24 shelves and cabinet spaces. Then I still have to wipe down the stove and fridge and clean the tile grout. This plan is also supposed to help save money, but on bathroom cleaning day it tells me to throw away things that are half empty. That means I would be throwing away things that are half full. What a waste! So I give it 2 stars for a good basic idea with the understanding that parts of it vastly underestimate the actual time required to complete the suggested tasks.

All I can say is I feel like I've finally learned the secrets of frustration-free house cleaning. Between the tips and tricks, and holding our otherwise great kids to their own house cleaning responsibilities (taking all electronics away really did the trick) we are finally on the right track. I love the sense of peace and calm that a clean house brings to our family, but it has been an ongoing struggle to keep it that way. Since beginning this book all areas that have been cleaned (we skipped around to focus on the worst areas first) have stayed clean. I love that this book shows pictures of real rooms in all kinds of houses, instead of rooms from homes that look model home ready. We only have four areas to go then we will start at the first of the book and go through the plan more in sequence. I don't know the author but I can truly say that no other cleaning and organizing book has helped me more. And that it was free at the time I picked it up?? Even better!!

5.0 out of 5 stars best cleaning and home organization book August 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read many books on how to clean and organize a home, but this one is the best I have ever used. This system is simple, easy to follow, and it works. I am not even close to completing the first 31 day cycle, and the difference in my home is amazing. The house already looks cleaner and better organized, and I have not been stressed or overwhelmed in getting there. All this in spite of the fact that my house is sufficiently mess that I can't always complete the daily assignment in the allotted time or exactly to the degree specified. No matter, it still works. Everything is still much improved, and I am certain that it will continue to get better as I apply this system. And it is easy enough that I am sure I will be able to continue it.
