I have a first edition of this book. I have carried it around for ten years. I cannot imagine life without it. I owe the authors a debt of gratitude.

This daily reader is a great help to keep me focused on my recovery. As an ACOA,a recovering Alcoholic, and Alanon member, I found this to be a very relavent book. It hits home without being preachy.

Days of Healing Days of Joy is an excellent source for daily affirmations and meditations for Adult Children. This book is part of my morning mediation daily. I have purchased it several times to give to friends in the program.

I personally only have read a little of this book but we use this book in our ACOA group. We started using it when 4 people said they really liked it and thought it would be useful and it has been.

the two star review is not for the book but for the fact that i have not got it.

i am most upset - my sister to whom i addressed this purchse has not received the book, and i have not had a reply from thermite-media.

i am very upset because the postage was as much as the book, and here i am, weeks after the due date, and no book.

what can amazon do to help me?

Very grateful for this book. I enjoy the daily lessons, and continue to have many "ah-ha" moments from it. I've already purchased 2 copies for friends and plan to give more for Christmas.

This is a great resource for anyone affected by their own or another's chemical dependency or other addictions. As a licensed counselor, I recommend it to most of my clients and all who use it find it on target for them and very helpful in ongoing recovery.

It has been one of my main meditations almost since day one of my recovery from alcohol addiction 22 years ago. I am also an ACOA survivor. My original hardcopy is highlighted and is now falling apart. Has been taped several places but I would not trade it in for a new one. I now have an Ipad so alot of my hard copy books are being replaced by ebooks. This one included. I still love to pick up my ol' books and I know exactly what pages to go to when I am in crisis. This is one of the books that saved my life.

Really good book to supplement the Just For Today daily meditation. It is non-religious and is day to day just like the other book(this one is non NA) The quotes are helpful as well as the messages. I read this book as part of my morning routine, right after Just For Today.

This is a great daily meditation whether or not your parents were alcoholic. Themes of forgiveness, self esteem and self caring throughout.
