4.0 out of 5 stars It's an interesting, informative, trivial book.
I liked how this book was divided into about 6 chapters. The book explanins about how the show was first started, how the fans have always supported it, and the whole storyline. I have only been watching Days for about 2 years, so when I read the storyline, it was really confusing, but I am trying to follow it. It doesn't have any color pictures, and the pictures it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware! Book is a REPRINT
Thought this would be an updated version of the book, but it is simply a reprint of the 1995 edition with a different cover that was designed this year. VERY disappointed.

I liked how this book was divided into about 6 chapters. The book explanins about how the show was first started, how the fans have always supported it, and the whole storyline. I have only been watching Days for about 2 years, so when I read the storyline, it was really confusing, but I am trying to follow it. It doesn't have any color pictures, and the pictures it does have are mostly of the older families on Days. This book does, however, give you a good background, and it doesn't really leave anything out dealing with information. It also has family trees in the back so you can be sure about the Days generations. You can learn some real trivia from this book. If you want history, and trivia, get this book. It will soon become one of your most treasured posesions.

This book should be well worth your money when you begin reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars good history of plots and stars, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Days of Our Lives: A Complete History of the Long-Running Soap Opera (Library Binding)
This book is a must have for all you newer Days fans who want to know what happened up to 1995. Also it has family trees and history of the making of the show. It helps explain Patch"s history in the story line and so much more on dozens of other people. Makes you feel like an expert on the whole show.It starts at the very beginning and had to end at 1995, but maybe some one will write part 2 for the years 1996 to 2007, I hope.

3.0 out of 5 stars For Days of our Lives fans, March 13, 2011

This was good for Days fans but not nearly as inclusive as I thought it was going to be. A little disappointing for the price I paid for it.

I really want a refund for this book. It stopped at a point before I even started watching the show. In fact, it only seems to be only one chapter long. It was not six chapters at all. Maybe my book is a mistake? It ends somewhere with Sami trying to win Austin at a point in time, in which I don't recall even watching. I watched Sami trying to win Austin, but this did not ring a bell at all. I does not explain how Stefano exchanged Roman with John (if that was what happened). It says someone is trying to kill John by stepping on his fingers while he is hanging off a cliff, because they think John is Stefano. Then it is shown that John is Roman, but does not explain how John is Roman. It is filled with stuff about characters I never heard of such as Shane. This book is only worth about 99 cents or even free for the lack of information and the vague writing style. If you are younger then 40, this book will have no meaning at all for you, and only confuse you further.

Great read for Day's Of Out Lives fans. It really gives you a great sonopsis of the soap for the past 40 years. Love the character interactions and opinions.

3.0 out of 5 stars Misleading entry, August 23, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
On the posted listing a date of 2010 was given inferring that this book is recent and up to date, when in actuality it was published in 1995 and only gives history until 1995.This is somewhat misleading, though the book is very good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Days of Our Lives History, April 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I loved this book. I have been a fan of DOOL since I graduated from college in 1969, so I remember the early years. What I loved about this book was reading about the few years before I started watching, then reminiscing about all the years I did watch. Most of the behind-the-scenes information was interesting, too, but it was the story-line that I loved.

I was disappointed that the book only goes to about 1995. I hope the author will update it to the present or someone will write a new book on the recent years.

I saw one omission. My friend Walter Willison, who played Suzanne Zenor's doctor and potential love interest until Wesley Eure left, breaking up the triangle, was not included in the cast list.
