My grandmother recommended this book to me, as she has many others since. She is very spiritually developed and has been a great blessing from the Lord in my life as far as guiding me to the Truth. At first when I saw the book I thought, "Teshuvah? That sounds Jewish or something..." Not really something that would attract a contemporary american christian. However, after much procrastinating and starting to read the book I found it has very important messages in it. One of the most overlooked points is that Jesus was Jewish, which may be common knowledge to some of us, but is sometimes overlooked in our meditation of the Scriptures. Secondly, is that our Father in heaven has build our world like a clock, and things such as lunar cycles and times and seasons all have meanings. The Hebrew calendar is full of days and times, celebrations and seasons that focus on the times of year that He desires us to praise Him and ask for blessing for the year to come. Lastly, and most importantly, is that the author points out that the festivals of thanks and praise to our Lord are ceremonies that will last forever. They have equal or greater value of our pagan-based christian holidays, and are an important mechanism in the life of a serious believer. We can live miserably and still be saved, but the Lord has build their calender as an altar to accept confession, thanks, and blessing for our lives. Doing so will allow God Almighty to pour His blessings into your life for the year to come.

My only word of warning is, if you don't trust the Word of God to it's fullest, this is not the book for you. If you find yourself in a place where you want to pick and choose what you think is true in the Scriptures, this book will be wasted on you. However, for those of us who have come to know and trust the Lord and His wonderful Word this is an excellent tool that will bring you a great amount of knowledge that you can apply to your life.

God bless you in your walks!

A large part of the reason the current church isn't walking in the power of God we're all supposed to is because much of the church hasn't embraced her Jewish roots.

This book is a wonderful beginning to understand both the roots and the power of God inherit in them - for both your healing and your commissioning.

The book is a nice read and in usual Perry Stone fashion, it shows the supremacy of GOD via Jewish traditions. However, I expected the book to give details on WHAT TO DO during the 40 days or HOW TO DO Teshuva very specifically. It is a nice read but I could have gotten information like that off the internet.
