The DaysAgo digital day counter is the first and only digital day counter that attaches to a variety of surfaces with a suction backing and counts up to 99 days. It is a simple gadget that is re-usable, versatile and helps save money. You can use it on food containers to let you know how many days ago you opened it, closed it, tried it, sauced it, grew it, etc. As for leftovers, it eliminates the doubt about when to throw it out. Great to use for a variety of projects: canning, on the litter box, aquarium/cage cleaning, health regimens, plant waterings, oil changes�the uses are infinite. Suction backing snaps to most metal surfaces and is great to use with jar lids and refrigerators. The DaysAgo will count days and hours since you started the device. The screen will display days elapsed and the word "day" appears on the screen. To view additional hours lapsed, just press the button once and the screen switches to a display of hours with the word "hours" on the screen. After a few seconds the screen returns to the standard view of days. Each packet contains two timers.

Like most people, I assume, I bought these to use on leftover foods in the refrigerator... things like pasta sauce or dressings. However, in my experience, the suction cup just does not stick well to anything--it continually popped off everything I tried it on (I even licked the suction cup before putting it on and that didn't help). So, I stopped trying to use it for leftovers pretty quick.
That said, I do use each of them on my bathroom mirror (where they stick perfectly) to remind me how many days have passed since 1) my last menstrual cycle and 2) since I changed my contacts. I lost the instructions, so it takes some time to remember how to reset the timer to zero, but I manage each month. That said, it would be nice if it had a dedicated reset button instead of having to hit a combination of buttons. I have had these for just over two years, and the battery is still going strong and both are still working fine. So, I recommend these, but with reservations. Don't plan on using them for refrigerated leftovers, but they are great for other types of reminders.

A great idea! But make sure the suction cup has firmly attached to your item. I dropped it on the floor once and it quit working.

Great concept, does not work,

I bought these awhile back thinking it would help me keep track of my leftovers, spaghetti sauce, etc. The first time I used them they worked but when I tried to re-set they didn't work at all. So frustrating. I was very disappointed esp since I was going to send to all my girlfriends! I hope they can work out the kinks.
