5.0 out of 5 stars Very Satisfied, January 9, 2009

I use several for space heaters to backup my furnace at my cottage. I have a phone out temperature monitor, that alerts me when I have a problem. However that device dosen't keep the temperature from dropping while I work to get the furnace fixed. This simple device does not need to be programmed. Simply turn the mechanical dial and watch the LCD display change to show the desired turn on temperature. The LCD display then reverts back to show current temperature. A very simple and reliable device for protecting my property.

5.0 out of 5 stars Early Days But Appears To Be A Good Product, December 20, 2010

Installed it three days ago and so far it appears to be working OK. It replaced the second of two "Honeywell Winter Watchman" thermostatic switches, which were utter junk; totally unreliable and erratic. Amazon should stop selling the Honeywell item. This replacement Dayton model is quite nice, as you may adjust its switch activation temperature upwards or downwards a degree at a time, and the Dayton model also displays both the temperature at which it is set to close the circuit, and the ambient, or background temperature it is sensing currently. Good design and appears robust construction.
