Bartley Kives writes about travel, food and politics out of a century-old home in one of inner-city Winnipeg's most colourful 'hoods. The recovering music journalist juggles a day job as Winnipeg Free Press city hall reporter with a weekly wilderness-travel column called Offroad and occasional contributions to CBC Radio and Explore magazine.
