Flat-sided where they fit together, the planter pieces can also be used separately against a wall or a deck railing. They’re fully portable with no drainage holes so you can nurture them in the best conditions and assemble them neatly for special occasions. Smooth to the touch, the planter is crafted from white ceramic and coated with a clear glaze inside and out. Fit together, it measures 12-3/4 by 14-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches. This is a nice looking planter and by concept is a good idea but this planter gets in the way of the usefulness of the umbrella and when it rains it overflows onto the table I ended up throwing the planter out after he first season it just wasn't worth the hassle

This item is literally crumbling at the edges as it sits on our patio table. The quality is terrible especially for such a pricey item.
