Our intention was to attach it to our 6 ft. wooden fence to create extra coverage from the sun and more privacy for our patio on one side of our pool. The clamp was too small and we had to improvise to get it to fit. Once in place, we were very pleased that it accomplished our original goals. Another problem is my husband wanted two more, but when I went back to the Amazon site they were not available.

the shade was exactly as advertised. It fit our application and looks great.
