It provides a flexible solution to the problem of accumulated chromatic dispersion without having to drop and regenerate the wavelengths on the link, which would otherwise be necessary when accumulated chromatic dispersion exceeds the maximum allowed dispersion tolerance. This DCU module provides 450 ps/nm Compensation Level.
