This toaster is a disaster. Interesting that someone else said that it consistently burnt their toast because even at the highest setting, I couldn't get crisp toast. Underdone or overdone, this toaster is clearly a dud. Steer clear.

I bought this toaster to replace a toaster oven. I assumed that it would be even better at simple toasting, so I was surprised to find that it took longer per cycle. After examining the heating elements, I could see that some where not even firing, resulting in uneven toasting. Even on the low setting, it over-toasted. In addition, larger items like bagels got stuck, even after trimming and using the pop up lever. It's going back.

Actually, I loved it, but it doesn't last too long. I've had 2 of them in the past 2 years and they've both died on me. Seems to me that when you buy an appliance, it should last more than a year.

Never really happy with this toaster, and now it just broke after a year of use, so good riddance. The good - it looks good and it was cheap. The bad - it was hard to get the handle to stay down, it had uneven heating due to elements not heating up in all areas, and the worst problem was the time to make a piece of toast. It took easily twice as long as any other toaster I've had, drove my crazy waiting for toast, especially if I was making multiple pieces for my family.

We've been using this toaster nearly daily for 11 months. The morning ritual is to put the coffee on, walk to the corner for bagels + come home to toast them. The toaster does seem to take a bit longer than other toasters I've used, but it does a nice job with bagels and I'm just not in that much of a hurry in the morning for an extra minute to make a difference.

The warantee ran out ,The toaster must have aself distruct mechanism .as soon as it runs out of warrantee. it dies.

The chrome finish would fit any kitchen design. The toaster was sensitive to different types of breads. Bagels, toast, and english muffins all were browned appropriately.

I bought this toaster at a thrift store because it looked so unique. It performs just as well as it looks. It's a nice toaster, with wide openings and a pop-up lever. I've only tried sliced bread in it, so YMMV.

I shopped long and hard for this piece of junk toaster. I needed something that would fit the type of bread I was buying at the time. Well, it didn't take long to discover that it DOES take long... to toast anything, that is. It's the first thing that every house guest I've ever had notices in the morning. What they don't necessarily notice is the poor-quality plastic base parts that have cracked and broken over the few years that I've owned this piece of junk.

The only reason I give it one star is because there is no zero-star rating (much less negative stars [black holes] [because that's what this piece of junk is, a black hole.])

Did I mention it's a piece of junk?

after Target would not take it back. It is horrible........
