Check Your Recipes, and frozen french fries bag, before ordering this (or any) Deep Fryer! This fryer will heat oil only to 360 degrees farenheit.

I was very disappointed to realize (after I received the unit, of course) I needed 400 degrees for my chicken wings and 375 degrees for tempura! I did try cooking the wings at 360 anyway but was disappointed with the results. Yes, they cooked but even keeping the food in the oil longer did not improve the overall crispiness.

Because of the DeLonghi's temperature limitations I down graded my review to 3 stars. Otherwise it would have been 4 or 5.

If 360 will work for your recipes/frozen foods than I recommend this unit. It does not take up a large amount of counter space - in fact its quite slim. Easy to use, clean up WAS easy! Convenient spout for draining the oil! But, don't think for a minute that the filters will eliminate an oil smell in the kitchen...the top is open when you first immerse the basket. Also, although it says it has a 3 pound capacity - that refers to french fries. I felt a maximum of 14 wing pieces was the largest load I should do for maximum effectiveness.

Obviously I'm disappointed that the advertizing did not indicate the highest heat setting. However, returns on Amazon are painless and hassle-free!

The unit is a GREAT kitchen tool. BUT customer service is blunt and poor --- although I live 200+ miles from a 'service center' they curtly demanded I call the center and deliver it to them. The unit stopped heating beyond 135F after a few uses and needs either a thermostat or better a new heating element. REDICULOUS. I will not purchase any DeLonghi product again after experiencing their customer service office.

It's better than I thought it would be. I looked all over and read many reviews.
A friend of mine has the Waring Pro and thought I would get it until I saw the Delonghi, read the reviews and saw the PRICE! Great savings over the Waring. This fryer does it all!

I made eggrolls, shrimp and chicken all in the sameday. Everything was crisp and delicious and non-greasy. Clean up was very simple. Most parts dishwasher safe.

Super fryer. Easy to use and it all comes apart for cleaning. If this one dies, I will definately buy another just like it!

This is a great little fryer. We have used several times and have found it be very user friendly. It cooks evenly and holds a fair amount of food. Clean up is very easy. I would recommend this fryer highly. Thank You.

This stainless-steel deep fryer from DeLonghi is the best deep fryer I have ever owned! The stainless-steel exterior stays cool, it has a removable stainless-steel frying well inside which sports a convenient oil drain valve. The removable heating element heats oil fast! The brains of the unit has a digital readout which tells you exactly what temperature the oil is and once you set the desired temp and set the frying timer and push the start button it begins heating and beeps when the oil is at the optimum temp. Clean-up is a breeze. Well worth the price paid if you enjoy deep frying.

I ordered this as it seems to be the only fryer on the market that ISNT made in China! This baby is made in Italy, the quality seems good except I couldnt try it out as it arrived damaged in shipping (note Amazon to their credit is accepting the return without any hassles/problem). DeLonghi needs to re-think they way they put the thermostat housing into their box. Mine had 2 of the 4 tabs that hold it to the body broken off as during shipping it is hanging in the same position as it would be in use thus stressing the tabs. I'll most likely order another once Amazon gets them back in stock & provide a follow-up review.

This fryer is fantastic. It is so much better that those old "Fry Daddy" type. Read all of it's features; it's as good as they say!

I waited to write this review so that I could speak with confidence. I love this thing. Its easy to clean, big, reliable ... I'm not sure what more I would want in a deep fryer. I use it several times a week and it's never let me down.
